动词不定式的基本用法有哪些之二

1、作定语的不定式如果是不及物动词，或者不定式所修饰的名词或代词是不定式动作的地点，工具等，不定式后面须有相应的介词。如he is looking for a room to live in

2、当作定语的不定式所修饰的名词或代词是不定式动作的承受者时，不定式即可用主动语态，也可以用被动语态，如have you anyting to be send?你有什么东西需要寄吗？

3、由only，first, last ,next以及序数词或形容词最高级修饰的名词或代词后，常用不定式作后置定语，如who was the first one to set to the top of the hill yesterday?

4、动词不定式作状语可表原因也可表结果，如we were very excited to hear the news，不定式表原因， he hurried to the school to find nobody there，不定式表结果

5、不定式与疑问词who, which, when , where, how, what等连用，在句中起名词作用，可充当主语，表语，宾语等，如how to solve the problem is very important

6、在与why连用时，动词不定式只用于why或why not开头的简短疑问句中，且动词不定式不带to，如why not have a rest?
